A New Jersey native has their sights set on Hollywood after making a splash on a recent episode of “American Idol.” And you may have seen her on TV before.

Jacquie Lee, a vocalist from Colts Neck, wowed judges during the Season 24 premiere of the beloved singing competition show on Monday night.
In a short clip that aired during the premiere, Lee was seen performing a soaring rendition of Screamin’ Jay Hawkins’ 1956 hit, “I Put a Spell on You.”
The performance won the judges over easily, sending Lee to Hollywood with a coveted golden ticket in hand.
“You have a ‘bring the house down’ voice,” judge Lionel Richie said after she sang. “I’m already standing up, it’s a yes for me.”

Lee, 28, is no stranger to competing on popular reality singing programs. She placed second on “The Voice” in 2013, gaining fame as a teenage songstress.
She’s also no stranger to singing “I Put a Spell on You.” One of her most notable showings on “The Voice” included her singing the same tune, which has also been notably covered by Nina Simone.

Lee now advances to the Hollywood rounds as she looks to secure a recording contract and a six-figure cash prize.
The knockout rounds in Hollywood will begin airing Feb. 23 and conclude March 7.
