Night One of American Idol Season 24’s Hollywood Week saw the return of some fan favorite hopefuls, including Hannah Harper.

Hannah Harper touched the hearts of moms everywhere with her American Idol audition performance of “String Cheese,” an original song she wrote while struggling with postpartum depression following the birth of her third son.

The song went on to become one of the most viewed clips in Idol history, reaching hundreds of millions of viewers worldwide.

For her return to the American Idol stage, Hannah chose to cover Lee Ann Womack’s “A Little Past Little Rock.”

Luke noticed that she had “a few little hiccups” but raved about her tone. Carrie agreed, praising Harper for her ability to pull off a Lee Ann Womack cover.

“Lee Ann Womack’s not an easy person to sing. It’s like you listen to it and it’s so nice, but you don’t realize how intricate the things are she does with her voice. I feel like you just nailed that,” Carrie said.

But, Hannah wasn’t as confident in her performance. She told host Ryan Seacrest backstage that she messed up the lyrics and “didn’t come in on the right spot.”

Her concerns weren’t warranted as Luke, Lionel, and Carrie praised the way she handled the flub and didn’t let it affect her performance. When it was time to learn her fate, the judges chose to keep her in the competition and sent her to the Golden Room.

The Golden Room is a holding room of sorts for those who are still in the running for a coveted spot in the Top 30 Ohana Round. Hannah will find out later in the competition if she will make it to the Ohana Round.
